About the trail
Take the full official mountain trail from Klausenpass towards the small glacier lake below the Clariden north face and the Tyyfelsfriedhof rock formation. Continue across the Fätschbach and Griessbödemli, past Gemsfairen and Hasentritt, to the Fisetenpass cable-car station. The 600-metre cableway descent to Urnerboden is not part of the walking track or its metrics. Official reference: 9 km, +580/−520 m, 3.17 hours. Complete federal track: 9.48 km, accumulated +569/−508 m. Official classification: medium mountain hiking trail; medium fitness. The official page describes a steep initial ascent, boulders, scree and a steep rough descent to the water catchment. This is a mountain trail, not a glacier crossing. Stay on the marked route near the lake and stream, and require snow-free conditions. Check Klausenpass road, bus and Urnerboden–Fisetengrat cableway operation separately; no transport opening is guaranteed. Summer hiking entry: snow-free conditions are required. No independently established fixed opening months or SAC T-grade are asserted.
