About the trail
A Jura loop from Le Pont on Lac de Joux, climbing steadily through wood pasture and past dry-stone walls via La Petite Dent to the Dent de Vaulion summit (1,483 m), then returning past the Pétra Félix fortification. On clear days the summit looks over several Swiss lakes towards the Alps and Mont Blanc. Official reference: 10 km, +440/−440 m, 2 h 55 min. Complete federal track: 9.55 km, accumulated +441/−441 m. The summit sits above a steep north face: stay on the path near the edge, especially in wind or fog. Jura weather changes quickly and the open ridge offers little shelter. Le Pont is served by rail; timetables are not verified here. No SAC T-grade or painted waymark colours are asserted.
