About the trail
SchweizMobil local route 213 along the Grand Bisse d'Ayent, a historic irrigation channel built in 1442, from the Tseuzier dam (about 1,779 m) to Etang-Long in Arbaz (about 1,318 m). Official federal Wanderland geometry: 12.0 km measured (operator publishes 12 km), about 3 h 10 min, +140 m / -602 m, medium technique on mountain hiking trails. Highlight is the Torrent-Croix rock face, where the water now runs through a 95 m tunnel with a viewing platform over the old wooden channel; the passage is airy and needs a sure foot. The bisse carries water between June and October. Check bus timetables and current trail conditions before setting off. Source: Federal Roads Office (ASTRA) / SchweizMobil Open Government Data.
