About the trail
Perhaps the most iconic easy walk in Switzerland: an almost level ridge trail with a permanent postcard view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau directly ahead. The path leaves the Männlichen cable car top station and rolls gently down toward Kleine Scheidegg, past alpine dairy farms and marmot colonies. Wide, well-maintained and suitable for families with strollers on the first section. Take the train back to Grindelwald or Wengen. Open roughly June through October depending on snow. Go early or late in the day for the best light on the north faces.
