About the trail
Follow the complete Moosalp circuit from Chalte Brunne through Bürchneralp and Breitmatte to Breitmattusee, Boniger See and the Stand viewpoint. Woodland, alpine pasture and small lakes frame views across the Upper Valais. Return to the original start rather than adding an unverified side route. Official reference: 6 km, +280/−280 m, 1.92 hours. Complete federal track: 6.34 km, accumulated +267/−267 m. Official classification: easy hiking trail; easy fitness. The official page notes narrow paths around the Stand viewpoint and that Boniger See is a seasonal lake, becoming a moor outside summer. Keep to the marked trail, respect the wetland and take care on wet or uneven ground. Summer hiking entry: snow-free conditions are required. No independently established fixed opening months or SAC T-grade are asserted. Federal closure/diversion layer checked on 24 October 2026: no reported closure or diversion intersects this exact route; absence of a notice is not an assurance that the route is open. Recheck official notices, local conditions and weather before departure. Official original name: Moosalp Panoramaweg. Source: https://schweizmobil.ch/en/hiking-in-switzerland/route-191.
