About the trail
From the top station of the Pilatus cog railway, this short panoramic trail traverses the ridge to the Tomlishorn (2,128 m), the highest point of the Pilatus massif. The path is narrow but well-secured, cut into the limestone flank with sheer drops on one side and views over Lucerne, its lake and the central Alps. Combines beautifully with the golden ride up from Alpnachstad on the world's steepest cog railway. Season: mid-May to mid-November. Not recommended for those uncomfortable with exposure.
