About the trail
A Toggenburg ridge walk from Brunnadern in the Neckertal, climbing through forest over the Oberberg and Gerensattel to the Wilkethöchi lookout, the high point of the day, with views of the Alpstein and the Glarus Alps. After the village of Dicken and two short climbs past mountain inns, the route descends through the Bruderwald to Degersheim. Official reference: 12 km, +860/−700 m, 4 h 25 min. Complete federal track: 12.20 km, accumulated +850/−706 m. Several steep climbs and narrow forest paths can be muddy and slippery after rain; the open ridge is exposed to thunderstorms.
